SIM7000E support


  • I’ve got a EVB with a SIMCOM 7000E, any already figured out if this would work, and what AT commands to use?

    Specifications for Data transfer
    • LTE CAT1

    • Uplink up to 5Mbps,
    • Downlink up to 10Mbps
      • EDGE Class
    • Uplink up to 236.8Kbps,
    • Downlink up to 236.8Kbps
      • GPRS
    • Uplink/Downlink up to 85.6Kbps
      • CSD
    • GSM data rate 14.4Kbps

    I don’t see any of the NB-Iot standards specifically mentioned, so I would be cautious…

  • @techniek Have a look at: http://simcomm2m.com/En/module/detail.aspx?id=168 It says (4G) Cat-M1, (4G) NB-IoT, (2.5G) Edge and (2G) GSM/GPRS.



  • Aha, based on the HL specs looks promising.
    We have not tested this module ourselves so I cant give you a definitive recommendation.
    Reminds me to see if we can get an update on the compatible modules list.



  • @techniek I am trying to use this board. I can get connected to the network but can not send a message. Commands like AT+NUESTATS, AT+NCDP=172.16.14.22, AT+NCONFIG=CR_0354_0338_SCRAMBLING,TRUE, or AT+NSMI=1 and AT+NMGS=11,48656c6c6f20576f726c64 do not work (ERROR). Is it still possible to use such a module to send messages to the CDP? Could you give an example?



  • Regarding the AT commands, things to check.

    1. Check if you have set the ocieanconnect APN. (In the manual parts 0 and 1 below you will see a few examples)
      Some devices need a reboot in order to make the APN persistent…

    2. Scrambling, try to see if you can set it to FALSE…

    3. Device registration, is the device visible in the devreg tool, maybe delete and reregister with the IMEI of the device?
