Maximum number of connection attempts over a set period of time in NB1/M1 networks?
is there a “Maximum number of connection attempts over a set period of time” for Cat.NB1 and Cat.M1 networks defined by DTAG?
Reason for this question:
On page 4 of the Telekom „IoT Solution Guidelines 2.1 - No Harm to Network“ (see attached) I found this sentence:
“The IoT Device Application SHOULD monitor the number of network connections it attempts over a set period of time. If the number of connection attempts exceeds a maximum value set by the IoT Service Provider, the IoT Device Application sends a report to the IoT Service Platform and stops requesting mobile network connectivity until the necessary time period has expired.”

How should the IoT Device Application send a report to the IoT Service Platform if the maximum allowed number of connection attempts failed?

As mentioned in another thread, we unfortunately do not yet have an overview of the maximum values for NB-IoT and LTE-M, including on the maximum number of connection attempts.
As soon as this is available, we will update the documentation and announce it in this support forum. Please bear with us in the meantime!
